Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. I was terrified of mounting my new OLED TV on the living room wall, but this scanner picked up a live wire right where I was planning to drill. The traffic light system is so easy to understand.
Arrived next day and I love that it comes with the 2 AA batteries and a nice pouch. Ready to use straight out of the box. Highly accurate on both plasterboard and solid brick.
As a novice DIYer, this gives me so much confidence. I used it to find the wooden studs for some heavy bookshelves. The centre-finding feature is spot on.
A very reliable professional stud finder. You do have to remember to move it quite slowly across the wall so it can calibrate properly, but once you get the hang of it, it's flawless.
Miles better than my old Stanley detector. This multi scanner stud finder actually finds copper pipes accurately, which saved me from a disaster when refitting my bathroom.
Used this as a floor joist finder when laying down some new boards. It works great, though the screen can be a little tricky to read if you're working in very bright direct sunlight.
Worth every penny. It is a premium price, but when you consider the cost of fixing a burst water pipe or rewiring a damaged cable, it pays for itself on the first job.
